Privacy Policy

aiautomatein respects the privacy of its readers, contributors, correspondents and other people who interact with the publication.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data may be collected when you visit or interact with aiautomatein, how that information may be used, when it may be disclosed, how long it may be retained, and the choices and rights that may be available to you.

This policy applies to aiautomatein and websites operated by it, including aiautomatein.com, aiautomatein.com, and any successor domain used for the publication.

References to “aiautomatein,” “we,” “us” or “our” in this policy refer to the publication and its website operations.

1. Information we may collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with the website.

It may include information you provide directly, technical information generated when you use the website, and information necessary to operate, secure and improve the publication.

Information you provide

You may provide information such as:

  • your name;
  • email address;
  • organisation or professional affiliation;
  • website address;
  • information contained in comments;
  • messages submitted through contact forms;
  • article pitches and editorial submissions;
  • press releases and research material;

  • attachments or documents you choose to send; and
  • any other information you voluntarily include in a communication to us.

Please avoid sending sensitive personal information that is not necessary for the purpose of your enquiry.

2. Information collected automatically

When you visit the website, certain technical information may be generated automatically by the website, hosting environment, content-management system, security systems or related services.

This may include:

  • IP address;
  • browser type and version;
  • operating system;
  • device type;
  • referring website or page;
  • pages requested or viewed;
  • date and time of access;
  • approximate location derived from an IP address;
  • user-agent information;
  • error or diagnostic information;
  • security and access logs;
  • cookie identifiers;
  • page-view information; and
  • information about how visitors interact with site features.

This information may be used for website operation, security, troubleshooting, audience measurement and content-performance analysis.

3. Comments

When visitors leave comments, the website may collect the information entered in the comment form together with the visitor’s IP address and browser user-agent information.

This information may be used for moderation, security and spam detection.

Where the Gravatar functionality provided through WordPress is enabled, an anonymised value generated from your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to determine whether an associated profile image exists.

If your comment is approved, a profile image associated with that service may be displayed publicly alongside your comment.

Information that you choose to include in the body of a public comment will ordinarily be visible to other website visitors.

Do not include information in a public comment that you do not want made public.

4. Comment moderation and spam prevention

Comments and other submissions may be checked manually or through automated spam-detection, security or moderation systems.

Technical information associated with a submission may be processed where reasonably necessary to detect:

  • spam;
  • malicious links;
  • impersonation;
  • automated submissions;
  • abusive behaviour;
  • security threats; or
  • other misuse of the website.

Use of automated screening does not mean that aiautomatein uses personal data to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about visitors.

5. Media and uploaded files

If the website permits you to upload images or other files, those files may contain metadata.

Images can contain embedded information such as camera details, creation dates or geographical coordinates contained in EXIF metadata.

You should remove location or other sensitive metadata before uploading material that may become publicly accessible.

Where uploaded media is publicly available, third parties may be able to download the file and extract metadata contained in it.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

aiautomatein may use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, provide functionality, protect the site, analyse performance and support other functions described in this policy.

Cookies may include the following categories.

Necessary cookies

These support basic website functionality, security, session management, caching or other technical operations.

Some necessary cookies may be set without requiring a separate preference because the website cannot provide the relevant function without them.

Comment cookies

If comment functionality is enabled, visitors may be given the option to save information such as their name, email address or website in cookies so that they do not have to enter the same information again when posting another comment.

Depending on the WordPress configuration, these preferences may remain stored for up to one year.

Login and administration cookies

WordPress may set cookies for authorised users who log into the website.

These may be used to:

  • determine whether the browser accepts cookies;
  • maintain authentication;
  • remember login status;
  • remember administration or display preferences; and
  • support editing and publishing functions.

These cookies principally concern authorised website users and administrators rather than ordinary readers.

Analytics and performance cookies

If analytics or audience-measurement technology is enabled, cookies or comparable identifiers may be used to understand website traffic, article readership and performance.

Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential analytics technologies, appropriate consent controls will be used.

Advertising cookies

If third-party behavioural advertising or advertising-measurement technologies are introduced in the future, the relevant data practices and cookie controls will be disclosed before or when those technologies are used.

The presence of advertising on aiautomatein does not necessarily mean that behavioural tracking is being used.

7. Cookie controls

You may be able to manage or delete cookies through your browser settings.

Disabling certain cookies may affect some website functions.

Where the website provides a cookie-consent or preference mechanism, selections made through that mechanism should be used to manage the relevant non-essential technologies.

Browser settings and website consent controls operate independently, so changing one may not automatically alter the other.

8. Embedded content from other websites

Articles may contain embedded material supplied by third-party services, including:

  • videos;
  • images;
  • social-media posts;
  • charts;
  • documents;
  • interactive content; or
  • other externally hosted material.

Embedded material may behave in substantially the same manner as visiting the third-party website directly.

Depending on the provider, the third party may receive information such as your IP address, device or browser information and information relating to your interaction with the embedded content.

If you are logged into an account with that third-party service, the provider may also associate your interaction with that account.

Third-party services operate under their own privacy practices. aiautomatein does not control the independent processing performed by those providers.

Where legally required, non-essential third-party embeds may be subject to consent controls.

9. External links

Articles frequently link to external websites, research, technical documentation, company websites, regulatory material and other third-party resources.

Following an external link takes you outside aiautomatein.

The operator of the destination website is responsible for its own privacy and data-processing practices.

A link from aiautomatein should not be interpreted as an endorsement of that site’s privacy practices.

10. Website search

When you use the website’s search functionality, the search term and related technical information may be processed to provide the requested results.

Search information may also be used in aggregate to understand what information readers are looking for and improve site navigation or editorial organisation.

Search queries should not be used to intentionally identify an individual unless necessary for security, legal or abuse-prevention purposes.

11. Most Read, Trending and content rankings

aiautomatein may process article-view or interaction information to produce features such as:

  • Most Read;
  • Trending;
  • Top Articles;
  • Top Insights;
  • Top Features; or
  • other popularity-based rankings.

Such processing may involve page-view counts, timestamps or related technical information.

These rankings are intended to measure content activity and are not designed to create personal profiles of individual readers.

12. Contact forms and correspondence

If you contact aiautomatein, information contained in your message may be retained and used to:

  • answer your enquiry;
  • maintain a record of the correspondence;
  • follow up on a request;
  • investigate an issue;
  • administer a complaint;
  • protect legal rights;
  • prevent abuse; or
  • meet applicable legal obligations.

Submitting an enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to marketing communications.

13. Editorial submissions

If you send a story proposal, article submission, research material, press release, company announcement, expert comment or other editorial material, we may process the information necessary to review and respond to that submission.

This may include professional contact information and information contained in supporting documents.

Submission does not guarantee publication.

Material may be retained where reasonably necessary for editorial records, verification, future correspondence, correction history or legal purposes.

Information intended for publication may become publicly available if the material is accepted and published.

14. Sources and editorial correspondence

aiautomatein may receive and retain information about journalists, contributors, researchers, analysts, company representatives, public-relations professionals, sources and other professional contacts.

Such information may be used for legitimate editorial activities including:

  • verification;
  • research;
  • interviews;
  • source management;
  • fact checking;
  • obtaining comment;
  • corrections; and
  • follow-up reporting.

Treatment of information obtained for editorial purposes is also governed by the Editorial Policy and applicable law.

Nothing in this Privacy Policy creates an automatic right to alter or remove accurate published journalism merely because the content refers to an identifiable individual.

15. Newsletter and email subscriptions

If aiautomatein introduces newsletters, alerts or other subscription services, personal information supplied for the subscription may be used to provide the requested communication.

Subscribers will be provided with an appropriate method to unsubscribe from recurring marketing or newsletter communications.

Unsubscribing from a newsletter does not necessarily prevent us from sending essential responses relating to an enquiry, legal request or other communication initiated by you.

16. Business, sales and partnership enquiries

Information submitted in connection with advertising, sponsorship, sales, partnerships or commercial enquiries may be used to:

  • assess the enquiry;
  • communicate with you;
  • prepare or discuss a proposed commercial arrangement;
  • maintain business records; and
  • comply with financial, contractual or legal obligations where applicable.

Business correspondence may be retained for an appropriate period after the relationship or enquiry has ended where legitimate recordkeeping requires it.

17. User accounts

Public user accounts may not be available on all versions of the website.

If account registration is introduced, information necessary to establish and administer an account may be collected.

Registered users may be able to view or modify certain profile information.

Website administrators may also have access to user information where necessary to administer the service, resolve problems, prevent abuse or comply with law.

Account information should not be interpreted as publicly visible unless the relevant feature clearly indicates that it will be published.

18. Password resets

If account functionality is available and you request a password reset, technical information such as the originating IP address may be processed or included in security-related communications where required by the underlying system.

Password-reset information is used for account security and authentication purposes.

19. Analytics and measurement

aiautomatein may use first-party or third-party measurement tools to understand matters such as:

  • visitor numbers;
  • popular pages;
  • referral sources;
  • device types;
  • website performance; and
  • general interaction with the publication.

Where a third-party analytics service receives personal data or identifiers, its processing may also be governed by its own privacy terms.

If aiautomatein introduces analytics that materially change its data practices, this policy and any applicable consent mechanism should be updated accordingly.

20. Advertising

aiautomatein may display advertising, sponsorships or promotional material.

Advertising may be served directly by aiautomatein or, in the future, through a third-party advertising provider.

If third-party advertising technologies are introduced that use cookies, device identifiers, profiling or behavioural information, the relevant disclosures and legally required choices will be implemented.

aiautomatein does not currently state that it sells personal data merely because advertising appears on the website.

21. How we use personal data

Personal data may be used where appropriate to:

  • operate and maintain the website;
  • provide requested website features;
  • respond to communications;
  • administer comments;
  • assess editorial submissions;
  • manage professional relationships;
  • operate content rankings;
  • detect spam and abuse;
  • secure the website;
  • investigate technical problems;
  • prevent fraud or malicious activity;
  • perform audience measurement;
  • improve website usability;
  • maintain necessary records;
  • comply with applicable laws;
  • respond to valid legal processes;
  • establish, exercise or defend legal rights; and
  • perform other purposes clearly communicated when information is collected.

Personal data should not be used for an unrelated purpose merely because it is available.

22. Lawful processing and consent

aiautomatein processes personal data only for a lawful purpose connected with the operation of the website, publication, communications, security, editorial activities or other purposes described in this policy.

Where processing depends on your consent, that consent should relate to the specified purpose for which the information is requested. You may withdraw consent where applicable by using the mechanism provided at the point of collection or by contacting support@aiautomatein.com.

Withdrawal of consent will not affect processing already lawfully carried out and does not require deletion of information that aiautomatein is permitted or required to retain for legal, security, editorial, recordkeeping or other lawful purposes.

Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential cookies, analytics, marketing or other technologies, the relevant consent will be requested before that processing occurs.

23. Data minimisation

aiautomatein seeks to collect only information reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it is being processed.

You should avoid including unnecessary personal, confidential or sensitive information in comments, submissions or contact messages.

Where practicable, information that is no longer needed should be deleted, anonymised or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable retention requirements.

24. Who we may share data with

Personal data may be made available to service providers where reasonably necessary to operate the website or publication.

These may include providers of:

  • web hosting;
  • domain and DNS services;
  • email services;
  • cloud infrastructure;
  • website security;
  • backups;
  • caching and content delivery;
  • spam detection;
  • form processing;
  • analytics;
  • newsletter delivery;
  • storage;
  • professional advice; or
  • other technical services.

Such providers may process information on our behalf or, in some circumstances, act independently under their own privacy policies.

We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary:

  • with your instruction or consent;
  • to comply with applicable law;
  • to respond to valid legal process;
  • to protect the website or its users;
  • to investigate fraud, abuse or security incidents;
  • to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; or
  • in connection with a legitimate reorganisation or transfer of the publication or relevant business assets.

We do not disclose personal data simply because a third party requests it.

25. Sale of personal data

aiautomatein does not sell or rent personal data as a business practice.

If the publication’s business model changes in a way that materially alters how personal information is disclosed or commercialised, this Privacy Policy will need to be updated and any legally required notices or choices provided.

26. Where information may be processed

Web hosting, email, security, cloud, analytics or other service providers may operate infrastructure in different countries.

As a result, personal data may in some circumstances be processed or stored outside the country from which a visitor accessed the site.

International processing will be handled subject to applicable legal restrictions and requirements.

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act expressly provides for restrictions on transfers to countries or territories that may be notified by the Central Government when the relevant provisions apply. India Code

27. How long we retain information

There is no single retention period that is appropriate for every category of information.

Retention depends on matters including:

  • why the information was collected;
  • whether the purpose remains active;
  • legal or regulatory requirements;
  • security needs;
  • dispute or legal-claim considerations;
  • editorial recordkeeping;
  • whether content remains publicly available; and
  • whether deletion has been validly requested.

Comments and associated metadata may be retained while the comment remains published or for moderation, security and discussion-history purposes.

Correspondence may be retained for a reasonable period after an enquiry is resolved.

Editorial records may be retained where necessary to support verification, corrections, source history or legal defence.

Security, access and technical logs may be retained for periods necessary for operational security and as required by applicable law.

Where applicable law requires information to be erased after its purpose has ended, we will act subject to any lawful reason or obligation requiring continued retention.

The final DPDP Rules contain specific retention and logging requirements that will apply when the relevant provisions commence. MeitY

28. Security

aiautomatein takes reasonable steps appropriate to the scale and nature of the publication to protect personal data from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

Measures may include:

  • access controls;
  • password protection;
  • software updates;
  • secure administration practices;
  • hosting security;
  • backups;
  • logging;
  • monitoring; and
  • other technical or organisational safeguards.

The final DPDP Rules expressly contemplate measures including access controls, monitoring, backups and protection against unauthorised access. MeitY

No website, storage system or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, this policy does not represent or warrant that a security incident can never occur.

29. Personal data breaches

If we become aware of a personal-data breach, we will assess the circumstances, take reasonable measures to contain or mitigate the incident and make notifications where required by applicable law.

The DPDP Rules provide for notification to affected individuals and the Data Protection Board when those provisions apply. MeitY

30. Children

aiautomatein is an enterprise-technology publication intended primarily for an adult professional and general readership. It is not designed as a service directed specifically at children.

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, a child is an individual below eighteen years of age. India Code

Where processing of a child’s personal data requires parental consent under applicable law, the relevant consent requirements will be followed.

aiautomatein does not intend to use the website to conduct behavioural tracking of children or to direct targeted advertising at children.

If you believe that a child has provided personal data in circumstances where it should not have been collected, you may raise the matter through the privacy contact identified at the end of this policy.

31. Your rights over your personal data

Depending on the law applicable to you and the processing involved, you may have rights concerning personal data held about you.

These may include rights to:

  • obtain information about personal data being processed;
  • request correction of inaccurate information;
  • request completion or updating of information;
  • request erasure where applicable;
  • withdraw consent where processing depends on consent;
  • raise a grievance about processing; and
  • exercise other rights provided by applicable law.

The DPDP Act establishes rights including access to information, correction and erasure, grievance redressal and nomination when the relevant provisions apply. India Code

We may need to take reasonable steps to verify a request before disclosing, changing or deleting information.

A request does not necessarily require deletion where retention is permitted or required for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, legal claims, editorial records or another lawful purpose.

32. Requests relating to published editorial material

Privacy rights concerning information held in a database or correspondence are not necessarily the same as requests concerning information contained in a published article.

Requests to correct, amend or remove published editorial material will be considered in light of:

  • factual accuracy;
  • privacy;
  • editorial context;
  • public interest;
  • applicable law;
  • the integrity of the historical record; and
  • aiautomatein’s Editorial Policy.

An objection to accurate coverage does not automatically require removal of that coverage.

33. Corrections and inaccurate personal information

If you believe that personal information held by aiautomatein is inaccurate, you may request review or correction.

Where the information appears in published editorial content, the request may also be evaluated under the publication’s correction and editorial procedures.

Corrections to factual errors do not necessarily require deletion of the entire underlying article or record.

Where personal data is used for a purpose that could materially affect an individual or is disclosed in circumstances where accuracy is important, aiautomatein will take reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances to ensure that the information is accurate, complete and consistent with the purpose for which it is being processed.

34. Legal and regulatory requests

Personal information may be preserved or disclosed where required by applicable law, a valid court order, regulatory requirement or other binding legal process.

Where reasonably possible and legally permitted, a request for information will be assessed for validity and appropriate scope before disclosure.

Information may also be retained where reasonably necessary in anticipation of or connection with a legal dispute, investigation or regulatory matter.

35. Third-party privacy practices

aiautomatein is responsible for its own processing activities but cannot control the independent privacy practices of external websites, embedded-content providers or other third parties.

You should review the relevant third party’s privacy information where its service is important to your interaction.

36. Changes to website technology

The technologies used by the website may change over time.

For example, aiautomatein may later introduce or change:

  • analytics;
  • newsletters;
  • advertising platforms;
  • embedded services;
  • comment systems;
  • subscription functionality;
  • membership features; or
  • additional security services.

Where a change materially affects the processing of personal data, this policy and any required notices or consent mechanisms will be updated.

37. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be revised to reflect changes in:

  • the website;
  • publication operations;
  • technology;
  • service providers;
  • legal requirements; or
  • data-processing practices.

The date shown at the beginning of this policy identifies the version currently published.

Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a material change, appropriate steps will be taken.

38. Applicable data-protection framework

aiautomatein operates from India and handles personal data subject to Indian law where applicable.

India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 provide the principal emerging framework for digital personal-data processing. The Act and Rules are subject to phased commencement, so particular statutory obligations will apply according to the commencement provisions in force at the relevant time. India Code

Where another jurisdiction’s privacy law legally applies to particular processing, the applicable requirements will be addressed accordingly.

Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to restrict any right, exemption, defence or obligation available under applicable law.

39. Privacy questions and requests

Questions, privacy requests or concerns about the handling of personal data may be sent to:

support@aiautomatein.com

The same address may be used for privacy-related complaints.

Editorial corrections or grievances concerning published content may additionally be handled under aiautomatein’s Editorial Policy and Grievance Redressal process, as applicable.

40. Sensitive information

aiautomatein does not ordinarily require visitors to provide passwords, financial-account information, government identity documents, health information, biometric information or other highly sensitive personal information through ordinary comments, contact forms or editorial enquiries.

Please do not provide such information unless it is genuinely necessary for a specific communication or request.

If sensitive information is received incidentally, access to it will be limited where reasonably practicable and it will be processed, retained or deleted according to the purpose for which it was received, applicable law and legitimate legal, editorial or security requirements.
